Beach Themes

The first vacation me and Mikey spent together was at the beach at the Towers on the Grove in North Myrtle Beach. There was something about that weekend that just sealed the deal for the two of us to be together forever and we decided to make it our destination for our wedding.

We're looking into getting a beach house to not only host our reception, but also our honeymoon and so far, I've struck out. I know that when I see the right place it will hit me like a ton of bricks but for now I'm still looking.

So far I have two dresses picked out, one looking better than the other. The cool thing is my dress is under $200.

I may be able to find my diamond wedding bands for cheaper too.

But as for now I'll have at least $5,000 invested into the wedding come April. That includes the beach house for a week, my dress and the rings.

More details about the bridesmaid dresses to come.

And so it begins...

I quickly realized how close my wedding was when you put it into the amount of days instead of months. I sat down on my bed as soon as the reality hit me and I went into freak-out mode. I had no idea what I wanted to start with first and everything just became so overwhelming. Michael grabbed my hand and said that everything would be okay and that we just needed to do one thing at a time. I understood what he meant but as the past couple of days have dragged on since the day he asked me to be his wife, I started panicking again.

Last night we went wedding ring shopping and it finally hit me that I could make this work and that I could have the wedding of my dreams, even on a small budget.

Through out the next 245 days I'll post a blog each day showing the things I've done to not only make it easy on myself so I don't find it overwhelming, but also to not make myself go broke before April 9, 2011.
